Data Collectors
Warehouse, logistics and industrial mobile computers for barcode scanning, data entry and enterprise applications.
Mobile data collectors combine barcode scanning, data entry, wireless communication and rugged usability in one device. As warehouse mobile computers, they support goods receipt, picking, inventory, transfers and stock control; in production environments, they help track raw materials, semi-finished goods and finished products. The right data collector reduces manual data entry errors, speeds up workflows and provides more accurate business data.

Frequently Asked Questions
A barcode scanner is a connected device that passes the code to a computer. A data collector (mobile computer) is a standalone device with its own display, operating system and applications: besides scanning, it displays data, runs the warehouse application and communicates with the enterprise system on its own. If the worker needs to see or enter data on the spot, a data collector is required.
An enterprise device's professional scan engine reads orders of magnitude faster and more reliably than a phone camera, especially with damaged codes and intensive use. It also offers rugged build, swappable batteries, multi-year manufacturer support and enterprise device management – with thousands of scans per shift, these differences are direct productivity and cost factors.
The vast majority of the market now runs enterprise Android, with long-term security updates and device management support. Windows-based solutions are typically needed with industrial tablets, where existing Windows applications must run. We also help replace legacy Windows CE/Mobile devices.
The application running on the device communicates with the ERP or WMS over Wi-Fi or mobile networks – most modern systems have a ready mobile client or web interface that runs on the device. During rollout we provide support with integration and device configuration.
