The TC701 uses Qualcomm’s Dragonwing Q-6690 processor, with SKU-specific performance up to 2.9 GHz. The platform is built to support high-performance on-device AI through an integrated dedicated AI engine. Like the TC73, the TC78 uses the Qualcomm 6490 octa-core processor, 6-inch FHD+ display, SE4770 or SE55 scan engine options, 8 MP front camera, 16 MP rear camera, rugged IP65 / IP68 construction, strong drop and tumble ratings and Zebra Mobility DNA software tools. The key difference is cellular connectivity. The TC78 supports 5G FR1, 4G, 3G and 2G bands depending on region, along with private networking over LTE / 5G. It includes one nano SIM and one eSIM. GPS support includes GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou and QZSS, with dual-band GNSS and assisted GPS support. Actual band support depends on country and carrier.
