The Honeywell 8680i is a compact wearable mini mobile computer designed to increase productivity in warehouse, logistics, sorting, packing, and industrial workflows where hands-free operation and fast data access are essential. Unlike traditional wearable scanning solutions that require both a scanner and a separate mobile computer, the Honeywell 8680i Advanced model combines barcode scanning, wireless communication, workflow interaction, and mobile computing functionality into a single compact wearable device. This integrated approach reduces device complexity, improves ergonomics, and lowers overall deployment costs. The device features a built-in customizable display that can present workflow instructions, status information, and task confirmations directly to the operator. A simple two-button interface enables fast interaction with applications, menu navigation, and process confirmation without interrupting workflow activities. The Honeywell 8680i delivers high-performance omnidirectional barcode scanning with fast and reliable decoding of both 1D and 2D barcodes. Its advanced imaging technology supports rapid scanning even during movement, helping operators maintain productivity in fast-paced environments such as warehouse picking, parcel sorting, packing stations, and retail fulfillment operations. The Advanced model connects directly to enterprise applications through integrated dual-band Wi-Fi, while the Standard version provides lightweight Bluetooth wearable scanning functionality for paired mobile devices. Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity with BLE and NFC tap-to-pair support enables quick and stable wireless communication up to 100 meters in open environments. The wearable design has been carefully optimized for long-term comfort and operational flexibility. The 8680i is available with both two-finger ring and back-of-hand glove configurations, and both options can be reconfigured in the field depending on operational requirements. Adjustable glove straps provide secure positioning and comfortable use for both left- and right-handed operators, even when conventional work gloves are worn. To support different workflow durations and performance requirements, the device is available with slim and extended battery options. The slim battery version supports approximately 3,000 scans during an 8-hour shift, while the extended battery version supports up to 8,000 scans over a 10-hour shift. The removable battery design also simplifies long-term maintenance and improves device lifespan. Built for demanding industrial environments, the Honeywell 8680i offers IP54 protection against dust and moisture and withstands repeated drops and tumbles during daily operation. The rugged housing supports operation in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 50°C, making the device suitable for warehouses, logistics centers, manufacturing facilities, and cold storage applications.
