According to the manufacturer's specification, Granit XP models are IP67 rated – fully dust-tight and able to withstand temporary immersion – and survive drops to concrete from 3 metres. This level targets multi-shift warehouse and manufacturing use where drops and contamination are routine.
The SR is for near-field, arm's-length scanning. With FlexRange technology the XR starts at near field and, according to manufacturer data, reads UPC codes to 1.5 metres and larger 100 mil rack labels to 10 metres – the typical requirement of high-bay warehouses. The XLR is the longest-range variant for specifically long-distance scanning. The 1990i is the corded and the 1991i the cordless version.
