Two scanning modes are available: single-scan operation with one trigger press, or continuous scanning by keeping the trigger pressed. The scanner is designed to read scratched, dirty, damaged and poorly printed barcodes using advanced scanning algorithms. The bright scan line supports easy aiming in varied lighting conditions, while the oversized LED makes successful scans clearly visible to the operator. Reduced Space Symbology support also extends the range of compatible 1D barcode applications. Durability is a key part of the RS4000’s positioning. The device uses a patented liquid polymer scan element with lifetime warranty coverage, reducing friction and wear in a component that is critical to long-term scanner reliability. A diecast zinc scan engine chassis, single-board construction and scan engine isolation help improve impact protection in the event of drops. Cable wear beads protect vulnerable cable areas, supporting longer service life in daily warehouse and logistics use. The RS4000 is also designed for operator comfort and practical deployment. Its 56.7 g weight and ring-style form factor support full-shift use, while the swivel feature allows workers to switch between right- and left-hand operation. Separate, replaceable finger strap assemblies can be assigned to individual users, improving hygiene in shared-device environments.
