BS80 Piranha II 1D General Purpose Handheld Scanners
The BS80 Piranha II series is a compact Bluetooth barcode scanner family designed for mobile data collection, retail, inventory checks, field tasks, and lightweight operational workflows. Its small form factor, low weight, USB-C charging, and Bluetooth connectivity make it easy to pair with Android, iOS, and Windows devices for flexible everyday scanning. The family is available in two scanner configurations: a 1D version for fast linear barcode capture and a 2D version for applications that also require QR Code, Data Matrix, PDF417, and other 2D barcode support. Both models can read barcodes from paper or screens, making them suitable for modern workflows where labels, tickets, and digital codes may appear in different formats. The BS80 Piranha II supports real-time Bluetooth data transmission as well as offline batch collection using its internal memory, allowing thousands of barcodes to be stored and downloaded later. The Delete and Function buttons improve mobile usability by allowing quick correction of the last scanned barcode and easier manual input on host devices. USB-C can be used for charging, wired communication, data download, and EasySet configuration, while pogo pin charging is supported through the cradle. The BS80 Piranha II 1D model is best suited for simple and fast barcode workflows where traditional 1D codes are the primary requirement. The BS80 Piranha II 2D model adds a megapixel CMOS scan engine and laser aimer, making it a better choice for mixed barcode environments and applications involving QR codes or high-density 2D symbols. With Bluetooth 4.0, up to 50 meters of wireless range in open space, IP42 protection, and 1.2-meter drop resistance, the BS80 Piranha II series offers practical durability in a very portable format.
