The scanner also provides wide reading geometry, with ±360° roll, ±65° pitch and ±65° skew, allowing users to scan naturally without carefully aligning the barcode. For improved targeting, the device includes a green-dot aimer with a 525 nm LED aimer light source, helping users aim more precisely and reduce misreads. White 2700K illumination supports a comfortable scanning experience, while configurable object detection improves presentation-style use when the scanner is placed in a stand. The operating temperature range of 0°C to 50°C supports typical front-of-store and back-of-store environments. Integration is straightforward, with support for USB, Keyboard Wedge and RS-232 host interfaces. The scanner also supports reuse of existing Xenon XP 1950g cables, which can reduce migration cost for businesses already using the previous generation.
