Honeywell HF800 Fixed-mounting 2D Industrial Reader
The Honeywell HF800 is a high-performance fixed-mount industrial barcode reader designed for demanding manufacturing, electronics, food production, and logistics environments where reliable decoding of both standard barcodes and difficult direct part mark (DPM) codes is essential. Built for industrial automation and production tracking applications, the HF800 delivers outstanding reading performance for 1D and 2D barcodes printed on labels as well as directly marked onto metal, plastic, and electronic components. Its advanced DPM decoding capability makes it especially suitable for PCB manufacturing, precision electronics production, food processing traceability, and logistics verification processes. The Honeywell HF800 is equipped with a high-speed global shutter CMOS imager with 838 x 640 resolution and image acquisition speeds up to 60 frames per second. Combined with a powerful red LED illumination system and advanced decoding algorithms, the scanner provides highly reliable barcode capture even on low-contrast, damaged, or difficult-to-read DPM markings. To support different installation and workflow requirements, the HF800 is available in multiple configurations. Users can choose between horizontal (0-degree) and vertical (90-degree) mounting versions depending on available installation space and scanning direction requirements. The HF800 series also offers three optical variants for different working distances and field-of-view requirements: HD version for high-density and close-range applications, SR version for standard-range applications, ER version for extended-range scanning. This flexibility allows the scanner to be optimized for a wide variety of industrial automation tasks and conveyor-based applications. Designed for integration into harsh industrial environments, the Honeywell HF800 features a rugged zinc alloy housing with IP65 protection against dust and water ingress. Its compact dimensions allow installation even in space-constrained machinery, production equipment, and automated systems. The scanner supports Ethernet, RS-232, and RS-485 communication interfaces, enabling seamless integration into industrial control systems, PLC environments, automation equipment, and manufacturing execution systems. In addition, programmable digital I/O ports support external trigger signals, sensors, and automation feedback control. The built-in AutoLearn function and Honeywell DataMax software significantly simplify installation and configuration. Users can automatically optimize image and decoding settings with a single button press, reducing setup time and simplifying deployment. The Honeywell HF800 also provides visual and audible feedback through five-status LED indicators and an integrated buzzer for operational monitoring and diagnostic purposes.
