Weight ranges from 164 g to 240 g depending on the stand or mounting configuration. The intelligent host cable routing helps maximize space efficiency. The Magellan 1500i provides a maximum resolution of 5 mils, minimum print contrast of 25%, pitch angle of +/- 65°, roll of 0–360° and skew of +/- 75°. Typical reading ranges include 13 mil UPC codes from 0 to 25 cm and 20 mil 1D codes from 1 to 30 cm, depending on symbol quality, contrast, scan angle and ambient light. The scanner is built for real-world service environments. It supports ambient light from 0 to 86,100 lux, 25 kV ESD air discharge protection, 5–95% non-condensing humidity and IP52 sealing. It withstands repeated drops from 1.2 m onto concrete. Operating temperature is 0°C to 40°C, with storage and transport temperature from -40°C to 70°C. Available interfaces include USB Keyboard, USB COM, OEM / IBM USB and RS-232. The scanner is compatible with Checkpoint Systems EAS and Interlock solutions. It can be monitored and updated through Remote Management, Scanalyzer or programming guides. Enterprise integration is supported through OPOS, JavaPOS, Toshiba Remote Management with IBM Systems Director and Wavelink Avalanche. Scanalyzer can be used for scanner configuration and is available for download at no charge. OPOS and JavaPOS utilities are also available at no charge, while Remote Host Download can help reduce service costs and improve operations.
